Wireguard ist ein schlankes, schnelles und sicheres VPN-Protokoll, welches mehr und mehr die älteren Standards wie OpenVPN ablöst. In dem heutigen Tutorial möchte ich zeigen, wie man zwei oder mehr Netzwerke (also beispielsweise zwei Familien) via Wireguard „verbinden“ kann.
Bezogen auf meinen Blog-Post NordVPN Status in Xfce Panelleiste anzeigen kann man den VPN-Status auch von anderen Anbietern dort abbilden. Da ich kürzlich Mullvad für mich entdeckt habe, wollte ich für diesen VPN-Anbieter ebenfalls die Infos in meinem Xfce-Panel angezeigt haben.
Früher konnte man sich mit der NordVPN CLI mit dem Parameter „login –legacy“ einloggen, ohne das man dafür einen Webbrowser benötigte. Leider hat NordVPN diese Methode nun entgültig abgeschafft. Ab sofort zwingt NordVPN einem dazu, das man quasi immer einen Webbrowser benötigt.
